I’ve visited Court Street in the past for dinner, but I’ve never gotten a chance to write about their brunch menu. I visited Court Street Restaurant and Bar last Sunday with HG contributor Robyn for brunch – the only day they are open for brunch, FYI.

Court Street in Hoboken
Being that we were starving and got there right on time for it to open (they actually unlocked the door for us…sad), there was no wait. However, the restaurant quickly filled up within a half hour.
The Court Street Brunch menu is very diverse – from steak & eggs to penne a la vodka to chocolate chip pancakes to a jumbo shrimp burrito, it will definitely satisfy even the pickiest of taste buds! Lots of fun brunch drinks too. While we were waiting for our waiter to take our orders, we were served several tasty (and complimentary) starters: fruit salad (cantelope, watermelon, grapes, & honeydew), and some irish soda bread.
A Bloody Mary was also in the mix – although Robyn found it a bit too spicy:
As far as our entrees, Robyn ordered the French Toast and I ordered the Chocolate Chip Pancakes. We were both craving carbs, apparently!

French Toast with a Side of Berries & Bacon
How much does this French Toast look like steak? Hilarious! But delicious.

My Chocolate Chip Pancakes
My chocolate chip pancakes looked bare at first, which was unfortunate…however, when I turned them over, here’s what I found:

Pancakes Chock Full of Choc Chips!
The maple syrup that came with the pancakes wasn’t natural (and was in little containers) – but there was an option to pay extra to get some. I definitely think that should be included, not extra, IMHO, but that’s just me. Pancakes were delicious though; I ate all of the chocolate chips out of them, obviously:
The perfect Sunday brunch food. Court Street also has a fantastic ambiance – lots of fun pictures on the wall of celebrities from their younger days.

Guess who?
There is also some trivia, in case you’re with a boring date.
What’s even better, when we got our check, it was stamped: Restaurant Copy. Searching around for that Merchant or Customer Copy for that extra 10 seconds is just a pain.
Make sure to check out Court Street at 61 Sixth Street for brunch, as well as dinner, Wednesday & Sunday Lobsterfests, and some of their fabulous wine tastings! It’s a great date night, brunch date, or family restaurant. HG Recommends!
